Heartwarming: Maturity of six year old boy

A six-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister were in the market. The child was surprised to see that his sister was falling behind.

He came to a halt and returned his gaze. His sister was standing in front of a toy store, watching something with bated breath.

“Do you want something?” the kid returned to her. The doll was pointed out by the sister. The youngster took her hand in his and, like a good older brother, handed her the doll. The sister was overjoyed.

The merchant was monitoring everything and was thrilled to witness the boy’s maturation.

Now the youngster approached the counter and inquired of the shopkeeper, “How much is this doll, sir?”

The shopkeeper was a calm man who had faced life’s challenges. So, with compassion and respect, he asked the youngster, “Well, what can you pay?”

The child withdrew all of the shells he had collected from the beach from his pocket and handed them to the merchant.

The merchant took the shells and began counting them as if they were money. Then he turned to face the boy. “Is it less?” the child said, concerned.
The shopkeeper said, “No, no… These are more than the cost. So I will return the remainder.” Saying so, he kept only four shells with him and returned the remaining.

A shopkeeper in that establishment was taken aback by all of this. “Sir!” he said to his master. “You gave up such an expensive doll for only four shells?”

“Well, for us, these are simple shells,” the merchant answered with a smile.

But these shells are really valuable to that youngster. And he doesn’t comprehend what money is at this age, but he will when he grows older. And when he remembers that he bought a doll with shells rather than money, he will think of me and realize that the world is filled with kind people.

It will help him develop a positive attitude, and he too, in turn, will feel motivated to be good.”

Mind Mantra: Whatever emotion you infuse into the world, it will further spread. If you do good, goodness will spread. If you do bad things, negativity will spread.

Recognize that you are a highly potent source of energy.

Your actions, whether good or evil, will be emphasized. Not in the ways you want, and most likely not in the ways you understand. But it will return.
